Class Description
-
We believe that preparation is just as important as the cut itself. Because of that, for the first time in Curated Cutting history, we have decided to add in a comprehensive blow dry prep portion to the class that includes proper sectioning techniques. This will allow you to fully understand the ins and outs of how to prepare the haircut, just as Anh does for each client behind the chair.

The two cuts that will be taught in The Mastery Class I are named the Long Movement cut and Med-Length Shag. The Long Movement cut is your most versatile cut. This technique can be used on all lengths, but we will be focusing on longer lengths for this class. We will start off with prepping the cut with Milbon products and blow drying techniques that add enough cushion to support the cut and style. After this cut, you will learn more about the styling approach that we take to give our cuts that ‘90s look. For the second and last cut of the day, we’ll move onto the Med-Length Shag. This will also be prepped in the same method as the first cut. For this look, we will be implementing cutting techniques that release weight and give movement. The finished cut will be then styled with Combo Waves using either a marcel iron or flat iron.
